Kusum Spices Company

The first chairman, Late Shri Kusumchandra Shah, was the founder of the Kusum Spices Group. He was one of the pioneers of the Indian Spice Industry. Mr. Shah with his years of experience and knowledge of the spice industry set up a manufacturing facility at Mumbai in 1972. A brand - 'Kusum Masala' was born. And soon with his foresight and entrepreneurial skills it became a household name for ground and blended spices in India and abroad. Kusum Masala, right from its inception, has symbolized purity, freshness and cleanliness of spices. It acquired 'AGMARK', the standard for quality control of grading and processing of spices, from the beginning. The strict quality control measures have won the trust of millions of housewives for Kusum Masala, resulting in acceptance for it in their hearts and kitchens. Today, Kusum Spices Group, has an annual turnover of over US$4 million including exports of US$ 2 million.
